As a huge fan of trying new sunscreens, I was intrigued by the bright yellow packaging and the shape of this SPF! I Am Proud is a completely new brand to me and this is the first product I am trying, so here are my thoughts.

Who is Skin Proud?

A UK brand founded by Charlotte Knight in 2020, who also owns Ciate London. It focuses on clinically proven actives and natural ingredients and what’s really cute is the focus of being absolutely proud of the skin you’re in - I adore this, we absolutely should be proud!

Pricing & Verdict

It’s manufactured in Australia so you just know that it is very high protection, they have some of the highest UV levels there - they know what they are doing. It feels really lightweight on my skin, doesn’t leave a white cast and gives you a nice dewy look but not overly shiny. I appreciate that it is PETA approved and paraben free.

For £16.95/$15.95 for 40ml, I think it is affordable. It’s not expensive and quite a lot of sunscreens now fall into the price range of £10-£25. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is; when I go to squeeze it on my hand (so I’m essentially tipping the bottle to the side) the product drips out in droplets before I have even squeezed it. I held it upside down to test it and it did the same.

Maybe it’s just my one but if not, that’s a bit of a packaging issue. Aside from that the packaging is cute, I love the colors and the shape of the bottle.

Skin Proud Serious Shade SPF 50+ conclusion

I enjoy using this SPF, it’s affordable, protects my skin well and has great ingredients. As the brand says - be proud of the skin you are in, always.
