Olay Super Serum review

I first saw this serum on Andrew Donaldson-Wheatcroft’s Instagram (he’s fantastic) and immediately saw it was only available in America, so I quickly forgot about it. Until not every long after it launched in Boots UK and went straight on offer, so naturally I jumped on the hype to see what it was all about.

Price and verdict

When this first launched in the UK it was on special offer for a while but I haven’t seen it go on offer again since and it retails for $30/£39.99 for 30ml. If you’re using all the key ingredients individually then I’d say it’s good value for money, albeit the size of the bottle could have been 50ml. The bottle reminds me of a potion like bottle, it’s cute and I like it.

The serum has a pink and purple iridescent color to it but it’s not visible when you apply it to the skin. It does contain fragrance which wears off quite quickly but if you have sensitive skin or if you’re like me and not a huge fan of fragrance then I’d patch test first.

Personally, I didn’t see a huge difference in my skin, it stayed the same. Which I guess is a good thing in terms of not causing any irritation or breakouts. It essentially replaced the ingredients I already used in individual serums. It did give my skin a lovely glow and kept it very hydrated and smooth.

Olay Super Serum conclusion

If you’re after one product that has these particular ingredients that you are looking for, then this is it. We’ve all been there where we are too tired to apply multiple products before bed - if that’s you then I think you’ll like this. I personally enjoy using individual different products for different skin concerns, so while I have enjoyed using this serum and will finish it, I don’t think I’d buy it again anytime soon.
