Ok so taking care of your skin barrier has become a thing and rightly so. It’s important to take care of it, whether that is with extra hydration, giving your skin TLC when it’s irritated or using specific products for your skin barrier.

Price and verdict

This serum retails for $17/£17.30 for 30ml. Whilst the price is a little higher than a lot of their other products, compared to equivalent serums, it’s a freaking steal! For me, it’s affordable.

I like the way it feels on my skin, I literally just applied it as I write this blog because I accidentally used a bit too much exfoliant the other day so I have come up with some flakiness/dryness. It works really well for this as I have tried it in the past. I love that it’s pink!

I prefer serums in a pump, only because droppers can’t reach the bottom of the bottle when it starts to get low and then pouring it out can accidentally give me more than intended. That’s me just being picky; it would not stop me from using this at all.

The Ordinary - Soothing & Barrier Support Serum conclusion

I have loved The Ordinary’s products for many years now and I haven’t had many that I didn’t like (only 1 or 2 of those that I have tried).

This serum is staying in my stash, it can be used everyday or only when your skin barrier needs that extra boost, that’s the beauty of it. Would I repurchase? Most definitely.

Who is The Ordinary?

Well if you haven’t heard of them, then you have been living under a rock. The Ordinary is a brand under DECIEM and has been around since 2016, that’s not even 10 years and the success they have had is wild and for good reason. They produce fantastic products that contain great ingredients, they work and they are very affordable.
