Tatcha The Rice Wash review

4.7 star rating tatcha the rice wash

I think cleansers are one of my favorite skincare products and it’s because I am obsessed with having clean skin! Seeing a product remove your make-up and just generally keep your skin looking clean and glowy - for me it’s everything.

Keeping our skin clean everyday is really important, even if you’re not wearing SPF or make-up, the day to day dirt builds up throughout the day and needs to be removed!

It’s so nice when you find a cleanser that not only feels soft but it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or stripped. No one wants their skin to feel tight, it’s literally the worst.

Tatcha The Rice Wash

One thing Tatcha does well is producing fantastic cleansers and The Rice Wash is no exception.

A cream cleanser that is gentle enough to not dry out the skin and is great at removing the skin’s impurities.

Price and verdict

I didn’t really know what to expect when using this cleanser for the first time, I had always used Tatcha’s Deep Cleanse because The Rice Wash is ideal for dry and mature skin.

Well I can wholeheartedly say - you don’t have to have dry skin to use this cleanser!

It perhaps might work even better for drier skin types but I have combination skin and loved it! Sorry The Deep Cleanse, I cheated on you - but I still love you.

Retailing at $40/£41, I can hear what you are thinking - for a cleanser?

Now I know the price is expensive, I won’t even sit here and tell you it’s not.

This is the splurge cleanser perhaps when you want to treat yourself.

I have even thought twice about purchasing it but I’m glad I did because my skin loved it.

I bought the travel size duo which comes with a small size of The Dewy Skin Cream for $34/£28 to test it out and see if I liked it. This is always a good way to try products before fully investing in the full size.

Tatcha The Rice Wash Conclusion

Overall, this cleanser is my splurge cleanser and I always think ouch when it runs out and I want to buy it again.

Then I remember how well it cleans my skin and how my skin feels after using it.

I may as well not look at the price tag because I get excited and then buy it again. Tatcha as a brand has created products that really care about your skin.

Who is Tatcha?

Tatcha has become one of my favorite brands, created by a woman who was suffering from dermatitis and traveled to Japan to discover a more ingredient focused take on skincare.

Born in 2009 Tatcha has now become a worldwide name with their products containing Japanese botanicals and a mix of amino acids and AHA.

When I first went to Las Vegas, I was 21 and I was like a kid in a candy shop. All I cared about was going to Sephora and buying everything in sight.

I quickly discovered Tatcha and I have loved the brand ever since.
