Tatcha The Deep Cleanse review

I love a cleanser, the satisfaction I get when I can see that all my makeup has come off and my skin looks nice and clean - for me it’s everything. (skincare nerd alert).
It's important to clean our skin, even when not wearing makeup and it’s also important to use a cleanser that suits your skin.
I have used cleansers in the past that after washing, my skin feels as tight as my spanx does trying to hold my gut in.
As much as I appreciate my spanx being tight, I don’t want my skin feeling like that after cleansing. Our skin should feel soft and not stripped.
Tatcha Deep Cleanse Ingredients
Tatcha’s Deep Cleanse is a gel that cleanses your skin with amino acids. It takes off my makeup so well, lifting all the dirt and oil off my skin without over-drying. You can feel the gentle exfoliation but it’s so gentle that it doesn’t strip your skin at all.
It leaves my skin feeling soft and really hydrated. I have noticed it has improved the appearance of my pores which is one of my own personal skin concerns.
Some of the best parts of this cleanser is that it’s non comedogenic and non irritating - no irritation on my end!
Packed with a ton of ingredients that your skin will thank you for; some of the featured ingredients really do work so well altogether.
The ground fibers from Japanese Luffa fruit exfoliate the skin, getting rid of those dead skin cells and decongesting the pores.
Whilst the actual fruit conditions the skin - no wonder why my skin feels so soft!
Japanese Wild Rose also reduces the look of pores and balances the skin whilst Japanese Leopard Lily visibly calms the skin. Sounds like the perfect ingredient combination right? I agree.
Pros
Takes make up off well without drying out/striping skin
Leaves skin feeling soft and really hydrated
Improves the appearance of pores
Non comedogenic/non irritating
Balancing and calming ingredients
Cons
Expensive
How To Use
Dampen your skin a bit, squeeze out an almond amount into the palms of your hands and rub together before gently applying on your face avoiding the eye area.
Rinse thoroughly with a face cloth, sponge - whatever your preference is!
The Cost
Now this isn’t the most budget friendly cleanser out there, it’s $40/£41 - I know, you’re probably thinking wow for a cleanser?
I even thought twice about purchasing it but I had no regrets once I saw how well it worked for my skin.
It’s always good to have a few different rotations of products (if you can) so this cleanser could be your splurge if you wanted!
Alternatively it does come in a travel size duo (UK) with the Tatcha water cream for £28 which is a great way of trying before investing in the full size. Or in a mini (US - $18)
Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Summary
Overall, this cleanser is my expensive one and I do always think ouch when it runs out and I want to buy it again but…I do buy it again because not only does it work for my skin, Tatcha as a brand has really created products that really care about your skin.
A bit more on Tatcha
Tatcha has become one of my favourite brands, created by a woman who was suffering from dermatitis and traveled to Japan to discover a more ingredient focused take on skincare.
Born in 2009 Tatcha has now become a worldwide name with their products containing Japanese botanicals and a mix of amino acids and AHA. When I first went to Las Vegas, I took myself to Sephora with a whole separate budget to splurge on skincare.
I discovered Tatcha and the first product I bought from their range was The Deep Cleanse and I did not regret it.
Actually what I did regret was purchasing it in a travel size instead of full size!
